Athletics | Giambi yet to report to camp

Mychael Urban, of MLB.com, reports Oakland Athletics 1B Jason Giambi has not yet arrived to the team’s Spring Training camp, but is expected to show up Thursday, Feb. 19.

Our Instinct:  Don’t expect Giambi’s return to Oakland to translate into the 2001 numbers he left with.  Even if he was to log more than 130 games at 1b, be happy with 450 points – that is of course if you paid $4-5 for him and not $10 or better and hes not your only 1b.
