Royals | Teahen a candidate at second base
by Patrick Trotter on February 19, 2009

The Associated Press reports Kansas City Royals OF Mark Teahen will be competing at second base during Spring Training.
Our Instinct: This could be terrific news for Teahen owners. Teahen could go from being a bench guy, to possibly an everyday starter again. Even if he doesn’t win the job, it could add another valuable position in his repetoire. He’s already eligible at OF, 3B, CI and DH, qualifying at 2nd would give him 2 more, including MI, and make him more valuable bench filler than Esteban German.
