The Associated Press reports Seattle Mariners DH Mike Sweeney will likely lose his chance at becoming the team’s full-time designated hitter with the acquisition of OF Ken Griffey Jr. “I really don’t care if it costs me,” Sweeney said. “I just want to make the team. If I’m healthy and have done my best, I’ll have no regrets.”
Our Instinct: Mike Sweeney is not likely to have any fantasy value, however he could see time at DH, 1B, and PH.
