Red Sox | Ortiz out again Friday

Boston Red Sox

The Associated Press reports Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz (shoulder) missed the second straight day of workouts with soreness in his left shoulder. However, Ortiz is feeling better and is also sore from throwing this week, according to manager Terry Francona. The situation is not very serious and Ortiz will not require extensive exams. He expects to return to full activity over the weekend.

Our Instinct:  It sounds like Big Papi will be ready for the regular season on time and may even be looking to take Bud Selig’s job if you ask him.  While it’s  doubtful he will return to the 40+ hr mark, he should be healthy enough to hit 33 and drive in 115.  Ortiz should be around the 670 point mark and $26 value, and if you’ve been following my posts about Red Sox nation – don’t expect him to go for too much less than that, if any.
