Rangers | Benson signed
by George Utter on February 21, 2009

Confirming previous reports, the Texas Rangers have signed free-agent SP Kris Benson (Phillies) to a minor league contract, with an invitation to spring training as a non-roster invitee, according to The Associated Press.
Our Instinct: Benson, who hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2006, will likely start the year at triple-A. If he progresses well, he could see some time with the Rangers. Don’t count on much, if anything in any fantasy format.

In the past, and even moreso now, the best thing about Kris Benson was his wife, Anna.
Wow. Another impact move for the Rangers this year.
