Twins | Gomez continues to work on patience at the plate
by George Utter on February 21, 2009
Kelly Thesier, of MLB.com, reports Minnesota Twins OF Carlos Gomez continues to work on being more patient at the plate during Spring Training. He has been watching roughly 60 pitches go by during batting practice before finally swinging at one. Gomez also has displayed more of an ability to hit the ball to the opposite field.
Our Instinct: The key here is getting on base. The more Gomez is on base, the more stolen bases and runs you will enjoy. IF Gomez can look for his pitch and get on base more, he could steal 40 bases while hitting around .275. 550-600 points and $20-$22 value. A lot of people will over look Gomez and you can probably have him for $5-$10.
