Rays | Longoria does not make WBC roster
by George Utter on February 24, 2009

Marc Lancaster, of The Tampa Tribune, reports Tampa Bay Rays 3B Evan Longoria did not make the cut for the United States’ 2009 World Baseball Classic roster.
Our Instinct: It’s like an all-star snub – it really doesn’t mean anything in the big picture. Longoria is in for a big season and could put up 650 points and be worth $22-$24. If you can get him for less than $20, that’s a pretty good deal.
