Diamondbacks | Webb scratched
by George Utter on February 27, 2009
Diamondbacks.MLB.com’s Steve Gilbert reports Arizona Diamondbacks SP Brandon Webb (forearm) was scratched from his spring start Friday, Feb. 27, due to tightness in his right forearm. SP Jon Garland will start in his place.
Our Instinct: Webb will be fine, he could make a start as early as this weekend. While he might not win 22 games this year, expect his numbers to be pretty close to what they were last seaso, which makes him a great option to head any rotation in any format. He will be worth $30 again this season.
