Washington Nationals SS Cristian Guzman has yet to appear in a game, according to The Washington Post. It is at Guzman’s request, as he has told manager Manny Acta he needed a few extra days to get a feel for his swing. He’s expected to be in the starting lineup on Feb. 27.
Our Instinct: Guzman won’t impress you with any single statistical category, but will hit for high enough average and grab enough at bats to make him useful. Consider him worth 470-500 points and $14-$15 value. It’s entirely likely that you can come away with him for $2-$3 considering how 2005-2007 turned out for him.
