Tigers | Verlander struggles against Yanks Friday
by George Utter on March 7, 2009
Detroit Tigers SP Justin Verlander allowed four runs (three earned) on four hits over 2-1/3 innings Friday, March 6, against the New York Yankees, according to The Associated Press. He struck out two and walked one.
Our Instinct: Nothing to worry about here, Verlander has been working on his mechanics this spring. Look for a return to numbers close to 2007 for Verlander, however he may have a few less k’s and wins in 2009. Look to spend $14-$15 for him and be rewarded with $22-$25 in value.
