Cardinals | Mather leading competition at third
by George Utter on March 10, 2009
The Associated Press reports St. Louis Cardinals OF Joe Mather seems to be the most likely candidate to start at third base when the regular season begins. Mather went 1-for-3 in Spring Training Tuesday, March 10.
Our Instinct: Yes, but can he get 500 ab’s? 3B is a pretty deep position and unless you are in a very deep player pool type of league, there probably isn’t any reason at this point to consider Mather.
