Astros | Pence update
by George Utter on March 20, 2009
Updating previous reports, the Houston Chronicle’s Jose De Jesus Ortiz reports Houston Astros OF Hunter Pence (calf) will be out until the weekend with a strained left calf. It was originally thought to be a bruised knee.
Our Instinct: Is that good news or bad news? Either way, it does not sound like Pence is going to miss any time with it once the season gets rolling. Look for improved numbers for the 25 year old. $21 value is about where you should expect him and if you can get him for $15, you’ve got a pretty good deal.
