Mets | Wright has cracked toenail
by George Utter on March 20, 2009
MLB.com’s Joe Frisaro reports New York Mets 3B David Wright (toe) suffered a cracked big toenail after fouling a pitch off his toe in the first inning of Team USA’s game Wednesday, March 18. The team didn’t have any other infielders and Wright played through it. He said he’d be fine for the next game.
Our Instinct: That had to smart. Wright isn’t likely to let something like that slow him down and you should consider him the #1 3b option.
