Rays | Upton to play Saturday
by George Utter on March 21, 2009
Marc Lancaster, of The Tampa Tribune, reports Tampa Bay Rays OF B.J. Upton (shoulder) felt fine Friday, March 20, and is scheduled to receive three more at-bats in a minor league game Saturday, March 21. Upton will also play three innings in the outfield Saturday.
Our Instinct: Upton is progressing better than most have expected, and should have no problem being ready by opening day. We fully expect BJ’s power to comeback without losing the speed. He’s an excellent option for your outfield and could be worth about $27.
