Angels | Escobar allows two runs Friday
by George Utter on April 4, 2009
Bill Plunkett, of The Orange County Register, reports Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Kelvim Escobar (shoulder) gave up two runs and three hits against the San Diego Padres Friday, April 3.
Our instinct: Escobar should have a stint with Class A Rancho Cucamonga to start the season, and while a July return was thought to be the case, now a May return to the Angels isn’t being ruled out. He’s worth a $5-$8 stab, depending on the May to July ETA, he could provide $10-$18 worth of value.
