Red Sox | Baldelli will hit leadoff on days when Ellsbury is off
by George Utter on April 11, 2009
Boston Red Sox manager Terry Francona said OF Rocco Baldelli will hit leadoff on days when he replaces OF Jacoby Ellsbury in the lineup, so as not to disrupt the rest of the batting order, according to Adam Kilgore of The Boston Globe.
Our instinct: Baldelli is likely to get a few at bats other places as well, don’t expect them to rest Ellsbury too often.
