Nationals | Guzman records five hits Monday
by George Utter on April 14, 2009
Chico Harlan, of The Washington Post, reports Washington Nationals SS Cristian Guzman (leg) went 5-for-5 Monday, April 13, but sustained a leg injury after recording his fifth hit of the game in the ninth inning. He was replaced by IF Alberto Gonzalez.
Our instinct: he’s 17 for 33 on the season. For those of you playing along at home, that means that Guzman is hitting over .500. Let’s hope that his ankle that he turned is OK. It’s hard to admit after all the puke filled years in Minnesota, that he’s actually valuable to the Nationals as well as Fantasy league owners.
