Royals | Giavotella has big game in minors Monday

</p>

Rustin Dodd, of MLB.com, reports Kansas City Royals 2B Johnny Giavotella hit two home runs and drove in seven for Single-A Wilmington Monday, April 13.

Our instinct:  Giavotella hit his first Blue Rocks home run with two outs and the bases empty in the fifth, and delivered an even bigger blow in the seventh. Eigsti walked with one out and Ortiz followed with a first-pitch bunt single. Derrick Robinson reached on bunt single as well to load the bases and Giavotella wiped them clean with his second round-tripper of the night, another line-drive shot to left.  The Royals are hopeful that the 2008 second round draft pick will someday be the answer at 2B.
