Mark Fidrych had a style all his own. Sadly, his death reminds us that they don’t make ballplayers like him anymore, Kevin Hench says. (source: Fox Sports/Feedzilla)
Our instinct: The “Bird” was the 1976 rookie of the year and by many accounts “a nut”. From Aqua-Velva TV commercials to talking to the baseball, he was a oddball and a fan favorite in Detroit. He will be missed.
