Indians | Lee solid in win Thursday
by George Utter on April 17, 2009
The Associated Press reports Cleveland Indians SP Cliff Lee gave up just one run and seven hits in six innings against the New York Yankees to earn his first win of the year Thursday, April 16.
Our instinct: He also walked 3 and struck out 4. It’s a much needed improvement over his first 2 starts, however he is still carrying around a bloated 6.75 era. Expect things to continue to get better for Lee, but you shouldn’t expect a CY Young out of him.
