Tigers | Rodney picks up third save
by George Utter on April 19, 2009
Tigers closer Fernando Rodney pitched the ninth inning of a 2-0 win over the Mariners to pick up his third save of the season. He is yet to allow an earned run or a hit in five innings of work. (source: CBS News/Feedzilla)
Our instinct: Rodney has been just flawless this season. He’s worked 5 innings in 5 games, while picking up 3 saves in as many chances. He’s also struck out 4 while allowing 1 walk and no hits.
