Dodgers | Loney, Martin flipped in lineup Thursday
by George Utter on April 23, 2009
Tony Jackson, of the Los Angeles Daily News, reports Los Angeles Dodgers 1B James Loney and C Russell Martin were flipped in the lineup Thursday, April 23. Loney is now batting sixth and Martin is in the No. 5 spot. Loney has three hits in his last 18 at-bats while Martin has five in his last 10.
Our instinct: The result? Loney went 1 for 4 and Martin went 0 for 4 with 2 k’s. Something isn’t quite right with Russell Martin this season. After what we saw last season with Victor Martinez, it should make Martin owners a little nervous.
