Mariners | Sweeney exits game Wednesday

Larry LaRue, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports Seattle Mariners DH Mike Sweeney (back) left the game early Wednesday, April 22, after an awkward check swing. 2B Jose Lopez replaced Sweeney at first base.
Our instinct: I said it a couple of weeks ago – Chris Shelton should of been the guy to make the cut, not Mike Sweeney.
