Phillies | Hamels planning to make next start
by George Utter on April 23, 2009
The Associated Press reports Philadelphia Phillies SP Cole Hamels (shoulder) said he expects to make his next scheduled start Tuesday, April 28, against the Washington Nationals. Hamels was hit by a line drive Thursday, April 23, and was forced to leave the game. Hamels said, “I’ll be fine. I have a lot of fragile parts, so I’m fortunate it didn’t hit me in a danger area. I just have a temporary tattoo of a baseball on the back of my shoulder.”
Our instinct: Other than the ball he left up for Ryan Braun to tatoo, Hamels looked pretty good. Sounds like a lot of fantasy owners can breath a sigh of relief that their young stud is going to be just fine.
