Yankees | A-Rod continues to increase workouts
by George Utter on April 23, 2009
The Associated Press reports New York Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez (hip) ran four times from the plate to first base after swinging a bat and went from first to second six times Thursday, April 23. He also took 28 swings off a pitching machine that was throwing curveballs. Rodriguez then went on to take 63 swings in regular batting practice.
Our instinct: Sounds like he is progressing nicely. The Yankees are still in hopes for a May 15th return date for A-Rod.
