Mets | Wright reports early

The New York Daily News’ Adam Rubin reports New York Mets 3B David Wright reported to camp Monday, Feb. 15.

Our Instinct:  It’s no secret that I think highly of David Wright.  He was put into an awful situation last year.  Between the HUGE new park and the rash of injuries that hit the Mets, Wright tried to overachieve and didn’t play to what we have come to expect.  Mentally, Wright seems to be in the “right” place and showed up to camp early to fine tune his game.  Don’t expect him to hit 30 hr’s, but 25 isn’t out of the question.  Expect him to be slightly behind A-rod and just ahead of Zimmerman and Longoria.  $28 and a fine season is what you can predict here.
