Red Sox | Four take BP

The Boston Globe’s Peter Abraham reports Boston Red Sox 1B Kevin Youkilis, OF Ryan Westmoreland, 1B Anthony Rizzo and SS Jose Iglesias reported to camp early Monday, Feb. 15, and took batting practice.

Our Instinct:  No real surprise to see Youkilis reporting early.  Westmoreland is a top 20 prospect for sure.  Rizzo doesn’t have the same upside as Westmoreland, but does have 20 hr potential – looks like Casey Kotchman at the same age.  He’s probably going to get blocked by Lars Anderson, who should rebound from a down 2009 season.  Everyone seems to be excited to see what Jose Iglesias is all about, we shall see soon.
