The St. Louis Post-Dispatch’s Joe Strauss reports St. Louis Cardinals 1B Albert Pujols will arrive with the rest of the position players due to the birth of his son. It’s the first time in his career that Pujols hasn’t arrived to camp early.

The good things that come down about Albert Pujols never cease to amaze me. First off, in a rare time of good people in celebrity roles, he’s the class act! He fully understands the role of being a good Dad first, a baseball player second. Secondly, the fact that he shows up early to practice shows the dedication he has to his team and the sport of baseball!
