Rays | Lineup taking shape
by George Utter on February 17, 2010
Bill Chastain, of MLB.com, reports the Tampa Bay Rays’ lineup for the 2010 season is beginning to take shape. SS Jason Bartlett will likely lead off, followed by OF Carl Crawford, 3B Evan Longoria, 1B Carlos Pena, 2B Ben Zobrist, OF B.J. Upton, DH Pat Burrell, OFs Matt Joyce/Gabe Kapler and Cs Dioner Navarro/Kelly Shoppach.
Our Instinct: If only they played in the American League Central. Crawford, Longoria, Zobrist, and Upton are all $20+ players, while Pena and Bartlett should bring in $15. They could win 94 games and still finish 3rd. Ugly.
