Rangers | Salty making progress
by George Utter on February 18, 2010
Richard Durrett, of ESPNDallas.com, reports Texas Rangers C Jarrod Saltalamacchia (shoulder) said his shoulder is feeling good and he is ready to play in Spring Training. He is planning on throwing to the bases Thursday, Feb. 18, something that he has yet to do as part of his conditioning work. “I feel comfortable,” Saltalamacchia said. “I’m prepared to go out there. I’m close to 100 percent. My body is finally telling me I need to push it a little bit, so I’m happy with that.”
Our Instinct: Salty, Max Ramirez, Taylor Tegarden, and Toby Hall fighting for the job here. Theres word that they are talking to Jose Molina too. Stay away from the Rangers catching situation for now.
