Giants | Aaron Rowand in better shape
by George Utter on February 19, 2010
The San Jose Mercury News’ Andrew Baggarly reports San Francisco Giants OF Aaron Rowand added endurance cycling to his offseason regimen and lost 10 pounds. Manager Bruce Bochy said Rowand is the team’s best option to hit leadoff.
Our Instinct: While it’s always good news to hear about a player taking his job serious and getting into shape, Rowand ceiling is about $10. He’s worth about $6-$8 currently in fantasy point leagues. If you can get him at a discount, he will make a decent 4th outfielder or a utility bat.
