Orioles | Brian Roberts dealing with kidney stones
by George Utter on February 19, 2010
MASNSports.com’s Steve Melewski reports ESPN The Magazine’s Buster Olney reported on his blog that Baltimore Orioles 2B Brian Roberts (kidney) is dealing with discomfort due to kidney stones, but the team doesn’t think it will affect his spring training work. Melewski said Roberts didn’t mention the issue in an interview Wednesday, Feb. 17.
Our Instinct: That doesn’t sound like a pleasant way to kick off spring training. Roberts is a top 8 option at 2b and will be worth $20+, for whatever reason he has always been a less “sexy” name, and you should beable to get him at a reasonable price..
