Red Sox | Lackey to be a bit cautious
by George Utter on February 19, 2010
ESPNBoston.com’s Gordon Edes reports Boston Red Sox SP John Lackey plans on being cautious in Spring Training this year after being injured during the spring the last few seasons. He threw all fastballs during his bullpen session Thursday, Feb. 18.
Our Instinct: Yeah, throwing heat is a sure fire way to avoid getting injured. Seriously, Lackey needs to stay healthy and pitch a lot of innings. His owner’s that over pay for him are counting on it. Even with the Red Sox he will be around $14-$15 in value and you can count on him going for $20.
