MLB.com’s Jesse Sanchez reports Cincinnati Reds SP Aroldis Chapman will throw a bullpen session Monday, Feb. 22, before facing live hitters Wednesday, Feb. 24, and Saturday, Feb. 27. After that, he will throw one more bullpen session before seeing game action.
Our Instinct: Anticipation is building up to see what Chapman is all about. Hopefully Dusty Baker won’t break the Reds’ $30 million new toy. Random thought here, does it bother anyone else that the Reds of all teams were the highest bidders on Chapman? Ponderous.
