Orioles | Keeping Snyder at first
by George Utter on February 26, 2010
MASNSports.com’s Roch Kubatko reports Baltimore Orioles 1B Brandon Snyder has been instructed to work only at first base instead of playing first and third base this spring.
Our Instinct: Snyder might have some value in the 2nd half of the season, but it won’t be very much. Last season he hit 10 hr’s in 201 ab’s at AA Bowie, and then had a power outage (2 hr’s in 262 ab’s) at AAA Norfolk. If he’s going to be a regular at 1B he needs to find that power stroke sooner than later.
