Cleveland Indians manager Manny Acta said SS Asdrubal Cabrera will bat leadoff this season and OF Grady Sizemore will bat second, according to SportsTime Ohio’s Matt Underwood.
Our Instinct: The 24 year old Cabrera will look to build on his .308-6-68-81-17 season as Cleveland’s leadoff man. Sizemore on the other hand, will look to rebound from an elbow injury that cost him 53 games last season. Moving out of the lead off spot could help Sizemore’s over all production. ”I understand this is big news,” Acta said. “I was going to save it until the first [spring-training] game against the Reds. The cat is out of the hat now.” Dr. Suess couldn’t of said it better.
