Yankees | Starting pitcher’s get set for starts
by George Utter on February 28, 2010
The New York Daily News’ Mark Feinsand reports New York Yankees SP Andy Pettitte will throw a simulated game in Tampa Sunday, March 7. He will start a Grapefruit League game against the Washington Nationals Friday, March 12.
Our Instinct: SP A.J. Burnett will start on March 6th, SP/RP Sergio Mitre and SP/RP Chad Gaudin will pitch on March 7th, SP Javier Vazquez will start on March 8th, and SP C.C. Sabathia will start on March 9th. SP/RP Phil Hughes and SP/RP Joba Chamberlain are in the mix with Mitre and Gaudin for the 5th starter job. Both Hughes and Chamberlain will have value either way, but obviously if they start their value will be greater in fantasy leagues.
