Red Sox | RP Boof Bonser strong Wednesday
by George Utter on March 5, 2010
Peter Abraham, of The Boston Globe, reports Boston Red Sox P Boof Bonser (shoulder, finger) looked strong against Boston College in the first inning Wednesday, March 3. Bonser said he felt great and threw pain free. He will pitch two innings against the Baltimore Orioles Sunday, March 7. Bonser is dealing with a blister on his index finger, but has been using superglue to seal it up and it hasn’t been bothering him.
Our Instinct: This is a good opportunity for Bonser, who missed all of 2009 with labrum and shoulder surgery. He’s got a shot a winning a job in the bullpen, but will have no value to fantasy leaguers.
