There were questions coming into Spring Training with the catcher situation for the Mets. They had a hard time finding a solid option to take the job, but the do have NYM Josh Thole C ready in the minors who could be a servicable option and so far this spring he’s hitting .500 with a couple of doubles.
Our Instinct: He has very limited power, but is a disciplined hitter with some doubles power that could take at least a backup role out of Spring Training.
