Tigers | OF Austin Jackson ready to run

DET Austin Jackson CF is taking advantage of his opportunity to be the man for the Tigers in CF in 2010. He’s off to a torrid .538 start on the spring and hit his first 2B (1) and  HR (1) Tuesday.

Our Instinct:  He has the speed to be a leadoff hitter and just needs to refine his baserunning to get the most out of his raw speed. He looks on target to take the job out of spring training but expect some growing pains for him in 2010 as he matures as a player.
