MLB announced Wednesday that Mariners’ SP Cliff Lee was slapped with a 5 game suspension to start the regular season after throwing over the head of Diamondbacks’ catcher Chris Snyder.
Our Instinct: Lee will appeal it. No warnings were issued and Lee says it’s just one that got away from him. MLB says otherwise after he and Snyder collided at home in the 1st inning. His debut may have to wait until April 10th. This shouldn’t change your auction day plans on Lee.
