Boston Red Sox SP Josh Beckett looked more like he was serving meatballs to hungry customers instead of pitching to the New York Yankees on opening day. Beckett gave up 5 runs on 8 hits and 3 walks while striking out just 1 in 4 2/3 innings of work .
Our Instinct: You should expect Beckett to bounce back, however one has to wonder about his shoulder. He certainly didn’t look like he was bringing much on his fastball. You have to wonder if Theo really wants to give him $70 million over the next 4 seasons.
