Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Dispatch reports In his second consecutive home-opening start, St. Louis Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright pitched like it was 2009. The Cy Young Award finalist who had a 2.05 ERA at Busch Stadium last year, threw eight shutout innings against Houston and collected his second win of the season. Wainwright struck out seven and allowed six hits. Two of his strikeouts were on biting sliders that baffled Houston cleanup hitter Carlos Lee. The only runner to get to third base on Wainwright was leadoff hitter Michael Bourn who had to tag up on a flyball to reach third in the first inning. Wainwright retired the final nine batters and 12 of the final 14 batters he faced.
Our Instinct: This should be a fun NL CY Young race to watch this year. Wainwright will be right there with Tim Lincecum and Roy Halladay all year long. You should feel pretty good owning one of these guys, but could you imagine if you had all 3 of them? Yes, Life is good.

Own all 3? Come on, in what league could somebody own all three? Silly website writers.
