Detroit Tigers prospect Giovanni Soto stuck out 10 batters in 5 innings on his way to his first W of the season.
Our Instinct: Soto is an unheralded prospect in the Tigers system, but he follows the Tigers Top Arm Jacob Turner in the White Caps rotation and might be a top prospect in the making himself. Soto is an 18 year old 6-4 and 155lbs lefty with a low 90s fastball and workable secondaries in a curveball and changeup. Tantalizing peripherals and a prospect we’ll be keeping a close eye on. You heard it here at BI first.
