Giants | Lincecum gets fourth win
by George Utter on April 24, 2010
San Francisco Giants SP Tim Lincecum struck out 8 while walking 3 in seven innings on Friday. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits in the winning effort.
Our Instinct: The Freak is now 4-0 with a 1.00 era. He’s struck out 32 while only walking 6 in 27 innings. While it’s a little concerning that he doubled his year to date walk total last night, the fact that he’s only given up 6 on season and has only given 3 earned runs is impressive. We would like to see Lincecum get his pitch count down so he can go more than 7 innings. On the season, hes had pitch counts of 98, 108,105, and last night 120. Still, he’s just behind Roy Halladay as the most dominating pitcher on the season.
