Royals | SP Zack Greinke cant buy a win
by George Utter on May 2, 2010
Despite pitching a 4 hit no walk complete game, Kansas City Royals SP Zack Greinke could not get a win, lossing to the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday 1-0.
Our Instinct: We ranted a few days ago about the Royals. It’s got to the point that Greinke can’t afford 1 mistake. Today he left a ball a little up and Evan Longoria took it for a ride. Greinke will be lucky to win 10 games at this rate, yet he is showing that he is an elite pitcher, giving fantasy owners a good amount of points despite taking a loss. He’s now 0-3 with a 2.27 era. He’s struck out 33 and walked just 7 in 39.2 innings.
