Phillies | C Carlos Ruiz doing his best Joe Mauer
by George Utter on May 11, 2010
Philadelphia Phillies C Carlos Ruiz went 4 for 5 on Monday to raise his batting average to .354.
Our Instinct: The 31 year old Ruiz hit .219 in 2008 and .255 in 2009. Enjoy this while it lasts. That’s not to say that he can’t hit .280 or better, but he won’t win a batting title any time soon.
