Tampa Bay Rays SS prospect Tim Beckham went 2-5 with a 2B to raise his season average to .165.
Our Instinct: Beckham is starting to look like bust and the struggles are not a surprise to us. While Beckham is still very young, his overall plate approach has a long way to go before he will even be able to tap his potential. His bb% is low and his k% is high. For a young player I would be fine with that, but his LD% is bad which doesn’t point to a ray of light for that .165 batting average.
I was born and raised in NYC. My father was a diehard Yankees fan but not biased and raised me to love the game more than any one team. For that I'm truly thankful to him.
