Royals | SP Aaron Crow keeping the ball down
by Aaron Bentley on May 22, 2010
Kansas City Royals SP prospect Aaron Crow gave up two runs over seven innings for his fourth win of the season.
OUR INSTINCT: What makes Crow successful is obvious – he has to keep the ball down. Jake Arrieta’s GO/AO looks embarrassing compared to Aaron Crow’s 6.00 GO/AO ratio from last night’s start. Crow’s GO/AO throughout his career almost directly correlates with his BAA and his results. That tells me Crow doesn’t always have great command of his pitches and he pays for it.
