Dodgers | OF prospect Kyle Russell is just grand
by Thomas Belmont on May 23, 2010
Los Angeles Dodgers OF prospect Kyle Russell continued his hitting torrent yesterday going 3-4 with a 2B and a Grand Slam to knock in 5 RBI. He raised his season average to .340 in the process of defeating the RC Quakes 16-5 along with the help of the rest of the IE 66ers. Our Instinct: You can’t argue with Russell’s elite level power. 11 doubles and 10 Home Runs. But we still worry about the high K rate and him being a little old for the level. We’re keeping a close eye on his progress, but take the 2010 totals with a pound of salt until we see that K% come down dramatically.
